Samay Raina has carved a niche for himself in the world of comedy. He is known for his unfiltered dark humour, and it was witnessed in Kusha Kapila’s episode at the Pretty Good Roast Show.

FIR lodged on Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent contestant

However, recently it is his own show India’s Got Latent, which is under the radar after a contestant from Arunachal Pradesh made controversial comments.

Arunachal Pradesh resident Jessy Nabam made fun of her state’s citizens during one of the most recent episodes. She said that although she had never eaten dog meat, many from Arunachal Pradesh do, in response to Samay Raina’s question about her eating habits.

She joked, “I know because my friends eat it. They even eat their pets at times”. During that moment all the members took it as a joke and one of the panelists, Balraj Singh Ghai even said, “Now, you’re saying it for the sake of saying it.” However, Jessy Nabam insists that it’s true.

Reportedly, following this incident, an FIR has been lodged against the ‘India’s Got Latent’ contestant over her comments. A copy of the same is going viral on social media. The copy states that the FIR, dated January 31, 2025, has been filed by Armaan Ram Welly Bakha, a resident of Seppa, East Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh.

The person in charge of the Itanagar Police Station in Arunachal Pradesh is the recipient of this message. Additionally, it claims that on the YouTube program “India’s Got Latent,” Jessy Nabam made disparaging remarks against the indigenous people of Arunachal Pradesh.

The FIR reads, “I humble request you that please take quick action in this matter for in the future no one could do it again like Jessy Nabam did.”
